Social Distancing and Family Time

So I have a lot of Senior Citizens in my life. Dear Elderly People. I don't want them to get sick of Covid. ¡¡¡ I love them oh so dearly !!! Especially my Mother. NOTHING can happen to my Mother.

I have had to make sacrifices economically for her safety and my other elderly loved ones. I've had to cancel ceremonies which has impacted me and my man's finances. Because i don't want to chance a single germ going near her body.

Social distancing also. She lives up the hill from my house. I can see her from my window. We can share food because it is hot and fresh so I send her up food. She buys the ingredients .

I sure do miss the things I took for granted . Cooking in a large kitchen with my family waiting out in the dining room. Now long gone for over a year. When we have gotten together this past year, We've all had to Covid test beforehand. When before we would go over each others house , hopping here and there , careless in the sunshine in the wind, giggles and laughter in the air . Now, so rare . If at all .

There is a beauty in all this. We have responded to this crisis with hope and creativity. Learning new skills as we 'play' throughout the day to conserve both money and energy. I see this as a germination phase for great things to come. I know we all plan to play our part in this battle with Covid. And after all this is over ? I plan our huge wedding ceremony and lots of food people dancing and whooping with joy. I'm willing to wait. Pero until then, the planning stages have just begun . . . . . . .
